Responsibilities

• Verifying patient benefits through insurance portals and phone calls, and documenting findings in eCW.
• Completing and uploading new patient verification forms.
• Calculating patient out-of-pocket costs based on their insurance plans.
• Dedicating two hours daily to managing add-on appointments.
• Assigning and overseeing patient collection tasks for past-due balances.
• Contacting patients to obtain missing insurance details and documenting all interactions.
• Securing and documenting prior authorizations for uncovered services.
• Ensuring Medicaid compliance by marking “Don’t Send a Statement.”
• Reporting errors, new insurance plans, and provider network issues.
• Managing out-of-network cases and escalating them to the patient service team.
• Following up on missing intake forms with the practice manager.
  Securing prior authorizations for psychological testing and updating billing alerts.
• Collaborating with the team to resolve verification issues.
  Attending regular meetings with the billing manager to review and improve processes.
